Cast Out Colony - Demo

Cast Out Colony fuses roguelite gameplay, reverse bullet-hell action, and intricate town-building components to craft an entirely distinctive experience, redefining the roguelite survival genre.

You have been cast out from your colony for committing an unspeakable crime. Your punishment? You must survive out in the wilderness alone for a night before being welcomed back into the village with (many) open arms. Sounds easy, right? Well, the swarms of hungry, hungry insectivores might say otherwise. Will you survive until morning, or will you end up being their midnight snack?

Multiple playable characters

Choose from a variety of adorable arthropods and not-so-creepy crawlies, each with their own unique weapons and characteristics.

Robust roguelite action

Choose from a variety of active and passive abilities as you level up and fight your way through the never-ending hordes of beasties and baddies. Stick with your favorites, or experiment with something new; either way, no two runs will ever be quite the same!

Detailed town building

Create your own colony and build upon it after every run. The buildings and their bonuses are permanent, meaning that you can make persistent progress every time you play, win or lose.

FAQs:

• When does this game release? While we can't give an exact date yet, we are planning to release the full version of the game in Summer 2024.
• What is different in the demo? Quiet a few things, actually. A short list is that the time to survive is 15 mins instead of 30 minutes, and doesn't contain all the skills, buildings, and characters that the full version will have. 
  
• Why can't I play this in the browser? We have opted to not allow browser playability due to our save system. Cast Out Colony saves the world that you build in, which can grow to hold a lot of objects. We felt that it was safer for your data to save correctly the way it was intended.
• Found a bug or have a suggestion? We LOVE feedback! There are plenty of ways to suggest something to us or let us know about a bug that we didn't want in the game. The easiest way would be to fill out the Feedback Form for the demo. That'll compile all the info for us. You can also share your thoughts in the page comments or join the Discord(Coming soon)!
• Can I use a controller? Yes! The game supports both MnK and Xbox controllers.
